The fabric itself blocks all light, but a small amount will always creep around the edges of the blind where it meets the recess. To reduce that gap as much as possible we can fit the blind outside the recess, or use a cassette with side channels for near-total darkness.

Yes. We supply moisture-resistant PVC and polyester roller fabrics that will not rot, fade or harbour mildew in a humid room, and they can be wiped down easily. These are one of the most practical choices for a bathroom window.

A cassette is an enclosed headbox that hides the roller tube and fabric when the blind is raised. It gives a much tidier finish than an exposed tube, and when paired with side channels it also cuts down light leakage at the edges.
Should roller blinds be fitted inside or outside the window recess?
Inside the recess gives a neater, built-in look and is the usual choice. Outside the recess makes the blind slightly larger than the window, which is better if you want maximum blackout or if the recess is too shallow or uneven.

How do I clean roller blinds?
Most roller fabrics only need regular dusting or a vacuum with a soft brush attachment. Moisture-resistant PVC fabrics can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid soaking a standard fabric blind, as it can mark as it dries.
